Macaroni and Cheese (Favorite of Grandma Linda)


  • 1 16 oz Box elbow macaroni
  • 2 TBLS butter or margarine - optional
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Milk
  • Lots of cheese – (probably about 1 lb. extra sharp and ½ lb. colby, shredded and mixed together)


1. Cook macaroni until al dente. Add butter if desired.

2. Put a layer of shredded cheese on the bottom of a well greased 9 ½ x 11 pan. Add half of the macaroni and salt and pepper. Put half of the cheese on top, another layer of macaroni, salt and pepper, and the remainder of the cheese.

3. Pour milk over all until you can see it almost to the top. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees until cheese is melted and kind of crispy on top.
