Maryland Steamed Shrimp (Favorite of Papa Bill and Grandma Linda)


  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup vinegar
  • 5 TBS Old Bay Seasoning
  • Cocktail Sauce
  • 2 lbs large shrimp, unpeeled


Bring water, vinegar, and 4 TBS of Old Bay to boil in large saucepan.  Gently stir in shrimp; cover.  Steam 2 to 3 minutes or just until shrimp turn pink.  Drain well.  Toss with remaining 1 TBS Old Bay.  Serve with cocktail sauce.
